School started a few weeks ago.
And after school starts, then all the extra-curricular stuff starts, too. Who knew two little kids could be so busy?? (Yes, I know I have three kids, but the big one isn't doing much that requires mom's taxi.)
Almost a year ago, when I started this blog, I wrote about how busy we were. And that's when the Major was on deployment! It's crazy, but I feel like we're busier this year. And it's only going to get worse next week.
Let me share with you what our typical week looks like right now.
Mondays, Tink has dance:
Stretching in hip hop class.
Tuesdays, Tink has cheer and Lightning has football:
Look at that game face!
Wednesdays, Buzz and Lightning have Royal Rangers, and Tink has Girl's Club, both at church.
Thursdays, cheer and football practices again.
Tumbling at cheer practice.
Fridays, Buzz has youth group.
Saturdays are Lightning's football games. And Sundays, we go to church.
Next week, we add chorus on Tuesdays. And a few weeks after that Tink's cheer competitions will start and those could be Saturdays and/or Sundays.
I've always kind of been of the opinion that each kid only needs one sport per season. But somehow, with dance, it's kind of an all year thing, but classes are only once a week. And cheer and football should both be done by mid-November. So, this crazy schedule should calm down in a couple of months.
And then the holidays will be a breeze, right??
