The concert was on a Wednesday night, the same night as Lightning's baseball game and church activities. But Lightning loves his brother so much he insisted on leaving his game early to be able to watch the concert. And Tink was so excited to watch Buzz that she took her Kindle with her to the concert - sisterly love.
The Major was due back in town the day before, but due to bad weather here at home, they had to delay their return flight a day, which meant it was going to be a close call if he was going to make it in time for Buzz's concert. It looked cloudy to me all day that Wednesday, so I was trying not to get my hopes up. It was chilly and cloudy during Lightning's baseball game, too. But I finally received a text that the Major had landed and was on his way. And he walked into the auditorium with mere seconds to spare - right as the orchestra was making their way on stage. Just one of the ways the military keeps us on our toes!
The concert was nice. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll never actually recognize any of the music they play, but that's ok - I won't be able to recognize any mistakes either! But when Buzz practices his guitar, that stuff I can recognize and I will be all over him for his mistakes. Just kidding - I have a hard time recognizing some of those songs, too.
