I think there's something to learn from missing the daily prompts this past week. My life isn't on my computer, even though an argument can be made that that's why people blog - digital journals and scrapbooks.
I was busy; the whole family was. Since my last post, we've had a softball game, a baseball game,
a mountain bike ride, a sleepover, dance photos,
a birthday party and several softball and baseball practices, too. Not to mention my start in CrossFit! Oh yeah, and all the "mommy" duties that never go away.
And because we are so busy, some things are just gonna end up getting pushed aside. That doesn't mean I've failed. It just means my list of "things to do" is too long and the stuff that doesn't always get done is the stuff that just might belong at the bottom of the list to begin with. But I have to remain flexible so I can change the order of the list whenever necessary.
I'm not sure exactly what I'm trying to say. It's late and I'm tired. But I don't ever want to feel like I've failed just because a few things on my "list" weren't completed. I know there's always tomorrow and the things that are really important get done.
At the end of the day, we're all home safe and sound, and the kids are tucked into bed. I'd say that's a good day no matter what doesn't get done!
