But the fun wasn't over yet! We had a "friend" party on Saturday, followed by an extended family party.
She chose a gymnastics party. We love having a gymnastics party. Tink used to take classes at this gym, and the parties there are great. It's a great price for 20 kids and they have an hour of fun, then pizza and cake afterwards.
First they did the zip line, which I think is a favorite. Who wouldn't love zipping down a precariously hanging cable at heart-stopping speeds?
Then they split up and half the kids learned some tumbling tricks and the other half went on the trampoline! My favorite! Really, I'm like a kid when it comes to this trampoline. (They had mommy classes at the gym once, too. Hopefully, they'll be bringing those back.) Of course, I let the kids go first, but then I definitely took a turn. They have 2 trampolines so 2 kids can jump at the same time. I jumped with Tink, you know, to make it look like I was jumping with her because it's her birthday and that's what she wanted - Mommy to jump with her. Soooo much fun! And Daddy jumped, too!
When the party was over and the last kid was finally picked up, we went home for more fun. Cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents all over the place. Even our best neighbors came by. And the present-opening began. Let's just say, I'm not proud of myself for not being able to stick to my guns regarding her birthday list, but there are other culprits involved. Nanie got her the Tech-pet; Daddy said, "Let's get her a hamster," and the Figit Friends were 2 for $10 - I couldn't pass that up!
Thank goodness Buzz's birthday is still 10 months away. I'm not sure I want to know what's on the birthday list of 15-year olds.
